Me, VHS, & a..... Hooker

Could there be a more non-natural way to start off a tv segment? 

No.  There cannot be. 

It's been a few days since I graced you with my witty and otherwise not very remarkable internet presence. Over the course of my absence not too many life changing events happened, so don't worry.

To catch you up a little: 

-Last weekend I went to Charleston/ Folly Beach for the first time (I plan to go back). I have family down there... not to mention Charleston is busting at the seams with life, culture, art, history, beauty, and this free sample dessert that was to die for. I almost fell over in the shoppe, literally. (Mostly because of the heat....) 

- This weekend I will be having a Girls retreat at the beach with my bestest gal pals.. well most of them. 

- Yesterday I went thrift store shopping with my boyfriend and I got Grease and Shakespeare in Love for $2!! (VHS, but hey! awesome movies.. and I still have a WHS player) 

-Also this weekend with said boyfriend we built a fort in his living room and watched movies. Yes, I said fort. It was awesome!  On pintrest I found these "date night ideas". Most of them are stay at home (a.ka CHEAP ideas. Which is great when your broker than a one legged hooker).

-Today I am going to see "Magic Mike" with two gal pals. Thinking about it, I sorta feel guilty because its Sunday.. Then I dismissed that thought because I don't wanna talk myself out of it. 

Now I'm on a roll and could keep going, but food is ready and I'm hungry. 

Update..

The mean reds are over.. now I've moved on to just being dead tired.

This weekend.. is over. Thank God.
However, on a positive note I got a bunch of cute
My little sister has now left on a holiday in Florida, staying with family. It hasn't really sank in that she's going to be gone for like a month yet. I'm sure after the first week or so without her buzzing around, it will get lonely.

...My best friend is hanging out with me and she just turned on E Network... The Kardashians are stupid. OMG. I totally just lost all train of thought and like 4 IQ points.

Go Clean Your Room

I live in an apartment.
It's one of the nicer complexes in the area, however, it has problems.
Like they have this nasty habit of doing inspections. 


If your like me, your all like " WTF?"

WTF?
Seriously, bro?

I completely understand that they want to keep it clean in and blah, blah, blah..
But for someone who doesn't regularly make the bed, it's downgrading to have somebody with a bad haircut and a clipboard tell you when to clean your room. And the bathroom. AND make your bed.
I used to think that I'd be happy always living in the apartment scene.
Now I realize the joys of having your own house.
Nobody to tell you when to clean your room.

And yes, I'm fully aware of how lazy this makes me sound.
But laziness is one of my finest attributes, which is why you love me :)

Also.. on a completely unrelated note. I'm watching the CMT music awards and Journey is performing with Rascal Flatts ( is there one "T" or two?)
First off... Why is journey playing with them??
Second.. what's with the asian?  However, I have to admit, he's good.
Taylor Swift didn't win anything :(  I was sad. 

Super-Short Love Story

It's been a few days, so today seemed like a good day to blog. 


Weekends are supposed to be the time when you relax and enjoy yourself. Besides New Years', it's the most counted down date known to man. 
For me, I wouldn't describe this past weekend as relaxing or enjoyable, bittersweet, maybe. 
Friday "some stuff went down" ( you know when people say that Jerry Springer issh is about to happen!). 
I won't go into detail about said "stuff", just know it was a sticky situation among friends (money was involved, hence STICKY). 
It was one of those situations where you can 


A: go off the deep end and ruin relationships that have been the salt to your pepper 
or 
B: swallow your pride, be responsible, and learn from it

I chose B. 
I need the salt to my pepper, and I like to think of myself as a reasonable person... I also hate when people turn things into Jerry Springer Episodes. I may not be the most reasonable person on the planet, but I try to be mature. Which is more than I can say for the guests of Jerry Springer. 


After "the stuff" went down..  the genre of my weekend went from trashy reality t.v to a full out romantic drama full length feature presentation. 


SAY WHAT?


For the past two months I have been harboring a secret relationship. (Some of you may already know about it, but were sworn to secrecy) I was crucial that we kept it on the down low ( I'll explain why later). WE GOT CAUGHT! 




In Jan or Feb I met this guy, who just so happened to by my best friend's cousin. ( talk about keeping it in the family.) At first the thought of anything between us never crossed my mind. There's a lot that goes along with that. 
And thinking about it now, it may take two or five post ( from my point of view) to tell you the whole story. 
So for now I'll give you the super-short version.. 


Girl meets Boy. 
Friendship blossoms. 
Confessions of super fat eight grade crush. 
Due to religious differences, agonizing debate on weather to "give this a try". 
Decide to "give it a try"!! However, must keep it a secret! 
Awkward confessions of Love.
Comfortable confessions of Love. 
Confessions of "In Love". 
Torrid Love affair caught by hottie boyfriend's family. 
Girl feels like she is going to be sick. 
Boy, calmly, takes care of it. 
Change of FB relationship status!!

I can't describe how wonderful he is. Honestly, if you saw how sappy I might get, you might think I've lost my mind. Hell sometimes when I analyze this whole thing, I feel like I've lost my mind. 


But that's ok..  

american dad is on tv right now!

This is how amazing i am: 
I have accomplished nothing today! 


Now, hold the applause. Today...err, this week I asked for the two days that I work off because I am extremely behind in my history class, and if I don't pass with at least a B, my GPA is shot. Tuesday I was pretty productive. I worked on some quizzes and worked on my monologue. 
Speaking of monologue... My acting class is over! Well I have to take the written part of the final on Friday, but it's only one question, so that hardly counts. 


This semester has been awful, which I have previously pointed out ( and I take full responsibility). But come friday, it will all be over. "Praise the Lerd", in the words of Madea. 


And yes, I am wasting time by blogging instead of taking quizzes. I also have the tv on. That show "American Dad" is on.... why is the alien always wearing clothes?!

on the bright side...

sorry that i've fallen off the grid. the month of march has proved to be a pre young adult-life crisis. 

i haven't had anything too good to say. from my other post you can tell that life has not exactly been a walk in the park. 

well a walk in the park during a hurricane lately. 

ahh that sounds blissful, doesn't it? 

I'd sum it up for you, but I don't have that much time and I don't want to bore you with my "woe is me" stories. 

On the bright side.. um...

Let's see... bright side? 

I've been sick the past two days. Not really a bright tale, but I've def caught up on my tv watching. 

Speaking of tv, I hate tv. There is hardly anything good to watch. 

Whiney teen girls getting knocked up, crazy rich forty year olds drinking all day and wasting there husbands money, and let's not forget, crazy new yorkers with bad tans, pretending to be crazy new jersy-ers with bad tans. 

no wonder the suicide rate in sky rocketing. 

Lifetime movie

So I'm just chilling in bed watching this lifetime movie... I'm not even sure what the name is. It's a web of lies, that what it should be called.. web of lies!! With dramatic music playing and a black backdrop.
This dude meets a pretty lady, charms the pants off of her and then disappears. He does this several times, then asks her to marry him. So she says yes, he takes off again.. and bam! He's married to another pretty lady and he has kids!! Omg! So he fakes his death and runs back to lady with charmed off pants! And now he's robbing people left and right to get money, had another kid, and pretty lady #2 is onto him!
It's so intense... I hope I don't fall asleep :)

i'm pregnant

i feel a bit sad, not gonna lie. 
it's friday night.. and i'm sitting home on the couch, in my sweats, with my mom watching tv. 
wow. living it up big time. 
i kinda sorta thought i was gonna hang with my best friend, but know.. she ran off into the sunset with her husband. story of my life. 
boo hoo. woe is me.
i think every person deserves a moment like this is their life. yes, i take hold of them a lot, but that's a different story for a different day. 


a story for today... 
ahh ok!
so: 
in my world religions class today  there is this kinda weird black girl and towards the end of class she blurts out.. 
B.G: mr. hairr what time is it? 
M.H: 10:36... were you wanting it to be 10:50 already?
B.G: yea.. i'm really upset and i can't focus. 
M.H: well if your that upset you can go ahead and go, i won't keep you
B.G: i can go? *M.H nods his head* thanks, i'm just really upset. i'm pregnant.
and then she freaking walks out of class!! 
it was the crazy. after she left the whole class busted out laughing. not because she's prego, but because of the way it all happened. it was like, WTF just happened? 
i love college :)

Candy commercials

When I eat a York pepper mint patty I totally go into slow mo and slow music comes on. When I take that first refreshing bite I totally smile and groan like I just hit orgasm.( yes I did just say that word)
Ok so I'm lying. But who in the world eats candy like that?!
Nobody.
And if they do they are making fun of those commercials.

Breakfast and Reality TV

I've been sleeping with my fan on so that I don't die from a heat stroke.. because I have to sleep with covers on, thus conditions for a heat stroke. This morning I woke with a chill and decided I wanted some warm breakfast. I'm not sure if I like that sentence.. any who I ate some oatmeal and it was awesome! It was maple syrup and brown sugar oatmeal. When I was little I used to not like that particular kind of oatmeal, I love the fruit kinds. Peach used to be my favorite.. which is still pretty great.

It's taking me forever to write my nonsense this morning because Khloe and Lamar is on and I have been sucked into the craziness of it all! I desperately wish my life was a reality show.. don't ask me why.. I think it goes along with that thing I said before about me thinking that if I don't document everything in my life I will someday face some sort of doom and regret. ( are you catching on that I stress and worry over the stupidest things?!)

Speaking of stress and worry.. I am going to graduate!! I passed my math exam with a freaking 81! I almost hugged my teacher (there was slight curve) but I refrained.. Cause that could have been.. really weird.

I'll be so glad to graduate. I am so jealous of all my friends who are leaving and embarking on greater things, but I'm very proud of them :) It will be really weird not seeing everybody everyday.. and you know there are some people that I won't ever see again. ( for some people that's a good thing!) But I'm still hanging around for a year so there won't be a clean break for a while.

Greetings! greetings? I'm not sure I like the sound of that.. sounds like.. well it sounds to peppy for one thing.
For today Blogger isn't blocked at school. Which is a great thing.
Another great thing.. I found this ad on Craigslist (more on why I was there later!) for wanted bloggers. That's me! The name of the group is called The Reel Scoop. They have a Blog and Facebook. I emailed the guy and told him I was interested and all that jazz. To make a long story short they added me as a contributor! AH! I'm so excited :) No there is no money. But I will gain experience! Which is what I want and need. I just did a little story on Criminal minds and sent it to him.. I got positive feedback so after I'm done here I'll go post it.. and I think there is a way to post links in the side bar.. I will add a link so you can go check it out and follow it if you feel so led.
I feel pretty cool right now :)

I love this show. Michael Scott is great! and Dwight. ha ha. I love him. I just watched the episode where Phillis get married recently. It was great. I encourage you all to watch it.

Family Guy

This show is soo dumb and totally hates on religion. I don't appreciate that too much but, I have to admit it makes me laugh. a lot. Stewie is hilarious! I don't know if I should encourage watching this show....
