hospitals and camo and proms, oh my!

let me begin by updating you on mom:
first off there was a huge mix up at the hospital with information being passed around! the first doctor she was seeing was the mastermind that told her she was going to be rushed to surgery and had everybody in a panic. she led us to believe things were super bad. well yes, they are pretty bad, however, this surgery isn't something they do as an emergency thing. there has to be and evaluation done first to check the heart and all that good stuff. we found this at from another doctor that took over the case the next day. to shorten this story...
she has a doctor's appointment today and after that we will know more about when the surgery is and how long and stuff like that. more details.
its been a really long weekend it seems like. my uncle came rushing up from Florida because he was really concerned. he's helping my mom out trying to get this stuff straight which is good.

OK. so mom, check!
what else? hum..
ah. right those pictures plus stories.
Thursday i went with a friend to this bridal shop in town so he could get a tux. We were flipping through this huge book of formal wear for men and in the middle of the book we stumbled across this:

yep. you are seeing that correctly. a camo tux. i couldn't decide to laugh or cry. turns out we laughed til we were in tears. oh wait! it gets better. the girls come over there and started laughing to. she said that somebody actually ordered that for prom because his date has camo on her dress!!! we asked if the people were from our school and they were pretty sure they were. which wouldn't surprise me. i honestly can't wait to see if anybody shows up with this tacky get-up. that's just awful. sorry to all you gun slinging rednecks but, that literally is a fashion crime.
on the subject of prom i am in distress trying to find stupid shoes that match my dress. i have literally searched everywhere to find something. i am boiling down to wearing these black shoes.. which kinda clash with the look. or these sandal type things. its not like it matters nobody should be staring at my feet anyways..

Warning:

second hand smoke causes headaches! my head is pounding thanks to the toxic output of my families cancer sticks. thank guys, really.
yea so the awesome video i posted (see below) is upside down. sorry about that. i did it from my phone.. so my excise is pretty legit.
not much to say because this is pretty much a trial post.. i hooked bloglovin up to facebook ( trying to generate more traffic) so i wanna see how it all works out.

"Sunday morning rain is falling.."

Actually the rain is not falling.. that was just the only quote I could think of that dealt with Sunday. This Sunday I'm not attending church (shame, I know) which is weird but tell you the truth it doesn't bother me that much. Is that bad??(probably) This morning I got up and brushed my teeth and started a new book:
A Painted House by John Grisham
I've never read anything by him but I've seen his name hundreds of times. One of my friends mom loves him and she highly recommended him so, I figured what the heck? I've read like the first five chapters and so far I like it.

Speaking of books I just got done reading Water for Elephants! And no the only reason I read the book was not because of Robert Pattenson!.. however its spelled.
Yes the movie looks great (I do love Reese Witherspoon), which is what spiked my interest, and so I thought I should probably read the book first just to get a feel for it. So I went to the library and tracked it down. It took me a few days to get to it, I believe I stared on Wed. and I read like a crazy person. I stared in math class and then came home and read for like two hours. ( it was fabulous!! ) Then all this stuff with my mom stared taking place and I lost reading time but, I got early on Saturday and finished. Then yesterday, which was Saturday, I was at wal- mart and they had the paperback version that advertises the movie on it for $5.99. Well needless to say I picked up without thinking twice. OK. That is a lie. Of course I wanted hard back but I lack the resources at this time for the hard back.
The story itself was great for lack of better word. It was refreshing, if you will. The circus setting is a nice change of pace. Its not everyday that you read about a boy from an ivy league school on the verge of finals hopping on to a train with circus freaks. One thing I particularly enjoyed about the book was the story was not so much about the relationship between Jacob (main character) and Marlena ( love interest) but about the journey of Jacob with Marlena tired in. Yes the romance was obvious but it wasn't overpowering. There was more to it than that. I give it five stars because there was a grand happy ending.. kinda of unexpected. I totally recommend it!

best six dollars ever!

Re: hospitals smell like death

Momma is still at the hospital( yes, she is doing the check book at the hospital!) .. the problem isn't a stroke its clogged arteries. Which is really scary. She has to be transported via ambulance tomorrow morning to another hospital for surgery.
Today I made an ass out of myself talking to her about school and stressing her out then this is dumped on her. I feel really bad. Everything should be fine but please keep her in your prays.
I'm pretty sure everything will be alright, but there is still a bit or worry in me.

Hospitals smell like death

You know some people have never stepped into their local hospital. Not me, I've visited mine once to many. Most of the time its my mom but, its been my dad, myself and various family members. It doesn't really bother me.. except the last few times I've been her with my mom. She has all kinds of health issues and they all seem to fail her at the same time. This time they think she may or might have a stroke. Its not like a bowling ball hit me in the stomach, its kinda like it was placed there.. just weighing me down.
Call me morbid but I see her figurative death playing over in my mind and its making me sick. She has to stay over night and I know she has already stressed herself to the max worrying about stupid crap... oh well
Time to face the orderlys.
